Generally speaking, the electric cargo bike takes the battery as the energy source, and converts the electric energy into mechanical energy through the controller, motor and other components, so as to control the current and change the speed. Here is how to detect some common faults of electric cargo bikes, hoping to help you.

1. How to check if the whole cargo bike is dead?

First, check whether the power supply has power. If not, check whether the fuse is good. If the fuse is normal and the power supply has no power, check whether the internal electrode wiring of the power supply is loose and whether the battery is open circuit. If the power supply is energized, check whether the power cord and power lock are normal.

2. How to check if the whole cargo bike has power and the motor doesn’t turn?

Short circuit the red line and the yellow line. If the motor operates normally, the motor and the controller are good. If the motor does not rotate, the motor or the controller is bad. If the motor and the controller are normal and the motor does not rotate, it may be the problem of the handle and the brake.

3. How to detect motor?

In the power on state, use the 200V DC voltage gear of the voltmeter. The black pin refers to the thin black line of the six core plug, and the red pin refers to the thin yellow, blue and green lines respectively. Rotate the motor, and the voltage shows a change between 0-6.25 volts. The maximum and minimum values of the three wires should not differ much.

4. How to detect the handle?

Measure the nine core plug of the controller with the voltage scale of 20 V of the voltmeter. The black pen refers to the thin black line and the red pen refers to the thin yellow line. At this time, the voltage should be about 1 v. turn the knob to the bottom. If the voltmeter shows 1 V to 4.2 V or 4.8 V, the knob is good.

5. How to detect the brake handle?

Measure the nine core plug of the controller with the 20 volt voltage gear of the voltmeter. The black pen refers to the thin black line, and the red pen refers to the thin purple line. The voltage is displayed as about 6 volts, and if it is zero, the brake is often powered off. Hold the brake handle, at this time, the voltmeter should display zero, and if the voltage remains unchanged, the brake handle will not be powered off.

6. How to detect the controller?

A. Detection of power tube damage: the performance of power tube damage is that the whole cargo bike does not rotate or lacks phase. The specific measurement method is: measure the wiring of three-phase motors a, B and C of the controller with diode gear. The black pen of the voltmeter is connected to the red line of the power supply, and the red pen is connected to the phase line of the three-phase motor respectively. The displayed value of the voltmeter should be about 500-600. If the test result of a phase shows zero or very small, the upper power tube of that phase breaks down.
